Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Southgate (that is in Michigan) the second of 3 children (that would make me a middle child), I attended 12 years of Catholic schooling (that would make me a survivor). I found out very early in life that in order to get attention, I had to give attention. I gave my older sister as much attention as I could by sticking lollipops and gum in her hair... and my younger brother, I simply beat him to a bloody pulp every chance I could.

Somehow, I grew up. I moved to Ann Arbor (that is also in Michigan) and started to bartend at a neighborhood sports bar called Banfield's. The patrons loved my sense of humor so much that they begged me to leave, but I could not. I attended college at Eastern Michigan (again, Michigan) but had to leave do to a lack of funds.

I started doing open-mike nights at the Mainstreet Comedy Showcase in Ann Arbor as well as the old Toledo Comedy Club. Soon I was able to progress from "open-mike stooge" to "unpaid guest-spot stooge" and I was off. With the showbiz world at my feet, I kicked off my first tour at the Holly Hotel (Yes Michigan – see how I was able to work the state's tourism advertising campaign into this?). That was back in 1987. Really.

Now we are in 2004. I am married to a lovely and smart woman that is also the mother to my only daughter (whom is equally as lovely and smart). I still love to do comedy. I have been lucky enough to be able to tour the United States (34 states), Canada (4 provinces) and Mexico (one cantina). I have played in comedy clubs, banquet halls and topless bars. I have also met some very fine people along the way.
